A horrible name, in her mind.
To her, it means a bad life.
So it definitely lives up to it's name.

I recently finished a book called The City of Bones, and it is the first book in “The Mortal Instruments” series, by Cassandra Clare. In the book, a girl named Clary Fray thinks she is an ordinary, average, if not boring teenage girl. Except for one thing -her father died when she was a child. Whenever she asked her mother about it, she’d change the subject or wave it away. Until Clary finds out that she can see demons and monsters everywhere that she hasn’t seen before. Now unlocked to the world of demons, Clary decides to find out who her father truly was, as well as some action packed side problems with the help of Isabelle, Alex, Jace, and Hodge. Will Clary the human survive in a world full of monsters? Will she ever uncover the dark secret about her long-lost father? Find out now by getting the book in Mrs. Fryer’s room! Most 6th and 7th graders would love this book because it’s full of suspense, action, and humor!

The book Uglies, by: Scott Westerfeld, is a science fiction/trilogy book that you can find if you ask Mrs.Fryer for it. I think 6th grade girls and up would love the series and this book because it has lot’s of unexpected twists and turns throughout the book. It’s about a girl named Tally who is supposedly an ugly because people who are ugly and people who are pretty are split up. So when you turn sixteen you have an operation that these doctors will change your body and make you look perfect. Tally’s friend Peris has already becomes a pretty and Tally is anxious to meet up with her friend. She is almost sixteen so she will get the operation soon. Tally meets a girl and learns a whole new side of becoming a pretty and the operation. She is forced to go on a dangerous journey or stay ugly forever.
The book Pretties, by: Scott Westerfeld, is a science fiction/trilogy book that you have to get at the bookstore or online. I think 6th grade girls would like this book because it is the next book after the Uglies and if you read the Uglies they leave you hanging at the end so girls would probably want to read the next book if you liked the Uglies. It is about Tally and she has become pretty and meats a new boy that she falls in love with. Also she has a hard time remembering her ugly past until she meets a mysterious guy at a party that gives her a special package. Species are after her and only has so much time to escape the city before she will never remember her past again. Will she make the right choice?

People are not supposed to know they have wings but Max meets someone and they now know everything. Will they save her? Will they survive? Will there secret be a secret?
