Beatrice Prior lives Abnegation. What is the Abnegation? Well, there's different factions in the future Chicago - the Abnegation (the selfless), the Candor (the honest), the Amity (the peaceful), the Erudite (the technological), and the Dauntless (the brave). When her aptitude test results (the test specifically designed to see what faction you're fit for) come in, she finds out that she's not fit for one faction, but three. The Dauntless, Erudite, and Abnegation.
Beatrice starts to worry. Three faction's? That means that she's Divergent. Follow Beatrice on her remarkable journey through trial, error, and love as she tries to save the factions from total destruction. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Recommended for mature audiences. Review by Annika R. Clarice Bean.
A horrible name, in her mind. To her, it means a bad life. So it definitely lives up to it's name. Clarice Bean is a 10 - year - old girl that absolutely has no idea how to make it, well, perfect. Her best friend: her favorite book series, Ruby Redfort. Family: annoying older brother and parents that just don't understand. School: A mean, nasty, popular girl who won't leave her alone and an old teacher that is still on her case. But maybe with her courage and Ruby Redfort, Clarice bean can overcome anything. Rating: 4 out of 5 stars Review by Annika R. I recently finished a book called The City of Bones, and it is the first book in “The Mortal Instruments” series, by Cassandra Clare. In the book, a girl named Clary Fray thinks she is an ordinary, average, if not boring teenage girl. Except for one thing -her father died when she was a child. Whenever she asked her mother about it, she’d change the subject or wave it away. Until Clary finds out that she can see demons and monsters everywhere that she hasn’t seen before. Now unlocked to the world of demons, Clary decides to find out who her father truly was, as well as some action packed side problems with the help of Isabelle, Alex, Jace, and Hodge. Will Clary the human survive in a world full of monsters? Will she ever uncover the dark secret about her long-lost father? Find out now by getting the book in Mrs. Fryer’s room! Most 6th and 7th graders would love this book because it’s full of suspense, action, and humor!

The book Pretties, by: Scott Westerfeld, is a science fiction/trilogy book that you have to get at the bookstore or online. I think 6th grade girls would like this book because it is the next book after the Uglies and if you read the Uglies they leave you hanging at the end so girls would probably want to read the next book if you liked the Uglies. It is about Tally and she has become pretty and meats a new boy that she falls in love with. Also she has a hard time remembering her ugly past until she meets a mysterious guy at a party that gives her a special package. Species are after her and only has so much time to escape the city before she will never remember her past again. Will she make the right choice?
